Cardiff has a vibrant and diverse studio scene with some artists working from individual studios and other as artist-run collectives in buildings across the city. Cardiff Open Studios Weekend is a chance to visit the spaces where creativity happens by artist who choose to make Cardiff their place of inspiration. A free yellow activity map will be available from Cardiff Contemporary outlets to help you explore and enjoy these spaces that are tucked away across the city.

Artists are part of the fabric of a city and creatively respond to the community they live in. They exhibit nationally and internationally while they contribute, whether intentionally or not, to the wider cultural identity of Cardiff. Cardiff Open Studio offers a chance to see art being made, encouraging people to get more creative as they gain an insight into the way artists are working today.
