For one week in October Roath will once again be transformed into an arena of artist led activity, including performances, film shows, poetry readings, open houses and studios, music events, participatory activities, radio shows, art installations as well as a multitude of other events. madeinroath gives the opportunity for Roath residents and visitors to join together in a week long celebration of creativity and participation.
Featured artists include Homer Sykes, Beth Greenhalgh, Helene Roberts, Ellie Young, Tim Bromage, Karl Price, Richard Powell, Mike Tooby, The Modern Alchemists, Jennie Savage, Ben Connors, James Green, Alan Goulbourne and Clare Charles and Iwan Bala and Angharad Jenkins.

Key events and activities this year include Settlement on 17 October - a day long gathering of learning, sharing and making at Spit and Sawdust; our Open Houses exhibition programme; Radio Roath; a film screening at g39 on 22 October; a photography exhibition by Homer Sykes; our Artist of the Day web initiative; a prelude performance PROsiect hAIcw by Iwan Bala and Angharad Jenkins on 11 October as well as Made in Roath’s usual programme of events including the Open Exhibition at SHO gallery on 15 October to launch the festival. This year Made in Roath will also be introducing Debbie, our new ice cream van artspace to the festivities.
