The shortlist for Artes Mundi 7 brings together six international contemporary artists who directly engage with everyday life through their practice and who explore pertinent social issues across the globe.

The selected artists for Artes Mundi 7 are John

Amy Franceschini/Futurefarmers, Lamia
Joreige, Nástio Mosquito, and Bedwyr Williams.
 

Artes Mundi is an international focused arts organisation that identifies, recognises and supports contemporary visual artists who engage with the human condition, social reality and
lived experience and is best known for its biennial international exhibition and prize. One of the shortlisted artists is awarded the prize of £40,000, the largest art prize in the UK and one of the
most significant in the world.
